Blackwell/Synergy and Wiley Journal Titles Available Again

All Blackwell titles were moved to the Wiley InterScience Web site from June 27-29th.  Access should now be available for all Blackwell-Synergy titles and Wiley titles to which the SLU Libraries subscribe on the Wiley InterScience Web site.  http://ezp.slu.edu/login?url=http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/  Today, the E-Journal Portal is sending all requests for Blackwell titles to the main Wiley InterScience page, where you will again need to search for the journal title.  Tomorrow, all Blackwell titles should be going directly to each journal’s home page.

Pius Library to Host Book Discussion Series This Spring

Pius XII Memorial Library will once again host the “Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature” book discussion series this spring. Sponsored by the American Library Association, this series features scholar-led, theme-based discussions that explore the best in contemporary and classic Jewish literature. Over the past four years, “Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature” grants have been awarded to more than 330 libraries nationwide.

This spring, the theme will be “Between Two Worlds: Stories of Estrangement and Homecoming.” Writers from Egypt, Brazil, Poland, and the United States take up the central theme of Exodus, exploring questions of home and away and what it means to belong.

The schedule for the series is:
January 27, 2009,  10 – 11:30 am: Second Book of Moses by Exodus
February 10, 2009, 10 – 11:30 am: Lost in Translation by Eva Hoffman
