University Archivist to Present at Mission Brown Bag

Join us as we continue our Mission Brown Bag gatherings on Thursday, March 13 at noon in the Knights Room of Pius XII Library. John Waide, University archivist, will provide a glimpse at the personality of the University’s first Jesuit president, Peter J. Verhaegen, SJ, through his story, his songwriting and his poetry.

Seeking Volunteers for Focus Groups

Are you interested in participating in a one-hour focus group where you can provide your opinion on what can be done to improve Pius XII Memorial Library?  To help make this event possible, we’d like to provide you with the following information.  The focus groups will be held in Pius Library’s Knights Room, located on the library’s first floor.  Pizza, salad, and soda will be provided for free!  There will be four sessions in the next two weeks; here are the dates and times.

Pius Librarians to be Featured in a Panel Discussion on a New SLU Textbook

Join us for an interdisciplinary discussion of a new SLU text: Theological Foundations: Concepts and Methods for Understanding Christian Faith. The discussion will be held Thursday, November 29th from 3-5 pm in the Du Bourg Grand Hall. A discussion and reception will follow.

Ron Crown, Theology Liaison Librarian at Pius Library is one of the text’s contributing authors. Gail Staines, Assistant Provost for University Libraries, will be a panelist.
